Cannes Salt is harvested from the Mediterranean coast, giving it a distinct mineral profile and character shaped by that region's seawater. It's hand-harvested, unrefined, and naturally formed through traditional methods. Unlike salts mined from ancient underground deposits, Cannes Salt comes from living seawater that is continuously renewed by the sea and sun.

Refined table salt is purified to 99% sodium chloride. We don't refine ours, so the natural minerals stay in — and they take up space the sodium would otherwise fill. Same volume, less sodium per pinch, more flavor on the plate.

Sea salt is inherently non-GMO and gluten-free. Our facility is certified kosher, and we are working through the relevant organic certifications. The current third-party lab panel is printed on every bag.

Use Fine Mediterranean Salt for cooking and baking — anywhere the salt should dissolve. Use Natural Grain Crystals as a finishing salt — on a steak just off the grill, on a tomato in summer, on a chocolate cookie before it bakes.

Salt is the original preservative. Stored sealed and dry, it keeps indefinitely. The only thing that changes over time is humidity making it clumpy — fix that with a quick dry-out at low oven heat.
