Magnesium
8,000 – 14,000 ppm
Supports muscle function, heart rhythm and energy production.
Refined table salt contains essentially zero magnesium.
Mineral Profile
Every harvest of Cannes Salt is independently tested. These are the numbers from the most recent lab panel — printed on every bag we ship.
The Lab
Most table salt is 99% sodium chloride — purified, bleached, stripped of everything else during industrial refining. Cannes Salt sits at 76 – 80% sodium chloride. The remaining 20 – 24% is what makes the difference.
| Cannes Salt | Table Salt | Standard Sea Salt | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sodium | 30 – 32% | 38 – 39% | 33 – 36% |
| Magnesium | 8 – 14k ppm | 0 | 1 – 4k ppm |
| Potassium | 6 – 10k ppm | 0 | < 1k ppm |
| Calcium | 1 – 6k ppm | 0 | < 2k ppm |

* Boron, manganese, chromium, iodine, selenium, zinc and 6+ ultra-trace elements. Independently lab-tested every harvest. Full mineral panel available on request — and printed on every bag.
Each element listed below is naturally present in Cannes Salt — no fortification, no synthetic additives. The ranges reflect normal harvest variability.
8,000 – 14,000 ppm
Supports muscle function, heart rhythm and energy production.
Refined table salt contains essentially zero magnesium.
6,000 – 10,000 ppm
Involved in electrolyte balance and nerve signaling.
Cannes Salt is naturally rich in potassium — standard sea salt is not.
1,000 – 6,000 ppm
Naturally part of bone health, muscle contraction and cellular signaling.
Comparable to natural mineral water levels.
6,000 – 10,000 ppm
A naturally occurring component of dietary sulfur compounds.
Contributes to the briny, almost-sweet finish.
12+ elements
Boron, manganese, chromium, iodine, selenium, zinc and ultra-trace elements.
Refined salt strips all trace minerals during industrial purification.
Every harvest is sampled and sent to an independent food-grade laboratory for a full mineral panel. Results are published per batch and the batch ID is printed on every bag. You can cross-reference any bag against the matching lab report on this site.
Cannes Salt is a food, not a supplement. We don't claim that any mineral in it cures, treats or prevents disease. We just publish what's actually in the salt — and let the data speak for itself.
