We collect what we need to deliver your salt and improve the site. No more, no less.

What we collect

  • Order information: name, shipping address, email, phone (delivery contact), payment method (handled by Stripe; we never see card numbers).
  • Account information (if you create one in the future): email, password hash, order history.
  • Usage data (with your consent): pages viewed, device type, anonymized IP. Provided by Vercel Analytics.
  • Marketing pixels (with your consent): Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel for ad relevance.

Why we collect it

  • Fulfill orders and provide customer service.
  • Send transactional emails (order confirmation, shipping updates).
  • Improve the site based on aggregate usage data.
  • Show you more relevant ads — only if you opted in.

Who we share it with

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Resend — transactional email
  • Vercel — hosting and analytics
  • Cloudflare — DNS and security
  • Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS) for delivery

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with anyone not listed above.

  • Deletion: ask us to delete your account and order history.
  • Portability: receive a JSON export of your data.
  • Opt-out of tracking: change preferences in the cookie banner (footer link "Cookie preferences").
  • California residents (CCPA): "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" — we don't sell, but the link is there for explicit confirmation.

Cookies

See the cookie banner for the three categories (Essential, Analytics, Marketing). Essential cookies cannot be disabled (cart, checkout, language preference). Consent for Analytics and Marketing is stored in a cookie that expires every 13 months — at which point we ask again.

Children

Cannes Salt is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

We post updates here and date them at the top. If the change is material, we notify subscribers by email.
